Abby Gorgerat, Trainer

Meet Abby — FS8 East Windsor Trainer & Big Believer in the Power of Movement! ✨ Abby is a Balanced Body Certified Pilates Instructor, trained at Wayne State University in Michigan through the Pilates Mentorship Program under Hannah Andersen. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, so it’s safe to say movement has played a pretty big role in her story! For the past three years, Abby has taught her way across the region. From Amherstburg to Kingsville, Tecumseh to Detroit, leading weekly studio and gym classes and hosting wellness events throughout the community. Outside the studio, she’s also a small business owner, curating and selling vintage items through @styledstaples, and is a passionate advocate for mental health and women’s rights. Abby takes a holistic approach to both life and movement. In her classes, she’ll meet you exactly where you are and then encourage you to discover just how much more you’re capable of. For Abby, it’s about helping you move, challenge yourself and build a little more belief in what your body and you can do. Meet yourself where you are. Challenge what you think you can do. Believe in yourself. That’s Abby’s kind of FS8. 🙌

Beth Hawkins, Trainer

Meet Beth — FS8 East Windsor Trainer & Someone Who’s Been Teaching Fitness Since Step Was Cutting-Edge! 💪 Beth started teaching fitness in 1996, back when step classes ruled and was the first in the city to offer Tae Bo. She discovered Pilates in 2001, when almost nobody locally knew what it was. Including Beth, who couldn’t even pronounce it! Several years of STOTT Pilates training followed, including Injuries & Special Populations in 2002 and Full Advanced Repertoire in 2003. She then opened Essex County’s first fully equipped Pilates studio. Along the way, Beth raised her children, worked as a personal trainer and became a Captain as a firefighter. So if you’re nervous about being judged on your first plank, relax. Beth has seen far scarier things. Through it all, Pilates has remained a constant. For Beth, movement is about helping people feel good in their bodies and build confidence, balance and connection, never pressure. Move with confidence. Find your balance. Leave the pressure behind. That’s Beth’s kind of FS8. 🙌

Kelly Wreglesworth, Head Trainer

Meet Kelly – FS8 East Windsor Owner, Head Trainer & Someone Who Took “Trying Pilates” a Little Too Far! 😂 Kelly found Pilates in 2023 at 45, when she was simply starting to feel old in her body. After years of sitting all day at work and then sitting all evening at home, she knew something needed to change. Pilates quickly became her whole personality. A class every day, signing up for teacher training after just 30 days as a studio member, and absolutely no intention of actually teaching! The plan was to tuck that certification away for one day when she semi-retired. Well… that escalated quickly. 😂 The physical and mental benefits, the community she found and an unexpected opportunity to teach brought one day forward considerably. And apparently making Pilates her whole personality wasn’t enough! Kelly decided to level up and make it her whole career. After more than 20 years as an Executive Assistant in the corporate world, she took a huge leap of faith in herself. She discovered FS8 through a fellow instructor and traded in the office desk for her very own studio. For Kelly, FS8 is about creating the kind of place that changed so much for her. Where movement feels good, people feel welcome, and community matters just as much as the workout. Move well. Feel welcome. Find community. That’s Kelly’s kind of FS8. ❤️

Leila Laba, Trainer

Meet Leila – FS8 East Windsor Trainer & Someone Who Was Practically Destined for Pilates! ✨ Movement has been part of Leila’s life for as long as she can remember. She grew up dancing and performing, and with both of her parents teaching Pilates, you could say movement runs in the family! Leila has been teaching Pilates for four years and is STOTT Pilates certified through Equilibrium in Michigan. She’s taught throughout Essex County in both private and group settings, with experience in Reformer, Mat, Chair, Cadillac, Yoga and strength-based classes. She also holds a BFA in Acting, where movement and bodywork played an important role in her training adding another layer to her understanding of the body, movement and connection. For Leila, a great class should be challenging, energizing and fun, while helping you build awareness and confidence in your body. Her goal? For you to walk out feeling strong, accomplished… and maybe just a little bit shaky. 😉 Move with purpose. Build confidence. Embrace the shake. That’s Leila’s kind of FS8. 🙌

Tom Cole, Studio Manager

Meet Tom – FS8 East Windsor Co-Owner & Team Guy Through and Through! 💪 With years of coaching and playing team sports under his belt, Tom knows there’s something pretty special about working hard, having fun, and doing it alongside a great group of people. He’s bringing that team-sport energy straight into FS8 East Windsor! Think camaraderie, encouragement, a little friendly competition and a whole lot of good vibes. For Tom, FS8 is about more than getting stronger. It’s about creating a space where people show up for themselves, cheer each other on, and have a great time doing it. One team. Good energy. Stronger together. That’s Tom’s kind of FS8 🙌
