The FS8 workout is designed to break the mould and incorporate revolutionary, science-backed techniques to lengthen, strengthen, stabilise and mobilise your body in a full-body workout that ties in your physical and psychological well being.
We’re focusing on strength and flexibility while throwing out all the clichés – and getting people to rethink how Pilates, tone and yoga can work for them.
‘F’ stands for functional, because every element has been designed to work together—for more purpose, less pose. ‘S’ is for style, remixing Pilates, tone, and yoga in a way that’s never been done before. ‘8’ represents the 8 key elements that form the core of FS8.
The exercises work global and postural muscles in all movement patterns, and all planes of movement, to enhance muscular strength, endurance, stability, flexibility, coordination, balance, and alignment, and facilitate better movement in the body.
A variety of low-impact exercises incorporated in the FS8 workouts allows for regular participation in exercise, and the benefits of regular fitness activities are known to include less risk of chronic disease, improved pain tolerance, better stress management and sleep, increased self-esteem, and reduced feelings of anxiety and depression.
By combining a balance of strength, stability and flexibility in FS8, we aim to reduce musculoskeletal imbalances and assist muscle activation and function, to build a better-aligned body with improved posture.
