No shoes are to be worn during your FS8 class. We do recommend wearing grip socks to ensure you don’t slip when you start to get a little sweaty. You can purchase your pair of grip socks from the front desk before you start.

Never been on a reformer before? Never been to a yoga class? Don’t worry, first-timers are very welcome at FS8! Our classes are designed for you to go at your own pace. Our experienced and friendly trainers are here to guide you through the equipment, exercises, and proper technique every step of the way.
Some studios may offer induction classes so if you are a complete beginner to a Pilates reformer, we would recommend starting here if offered by your studio.

You sure do. FS8 exercises are designed to minimise the impact on your joints, but this doesn’t mean you won’t need that sweat towel. Our classes are low on impact and high on sweat so get ready to build strength and endurance and feel those muscles burn!
FS8 classes are designed so you can attend every day if you choose. Each day of the week has a different focus and consists of a variety of movement patterns. This means we are always changing the load on the body so you are not overworking one particular muscle or muscle group.
If you have an injury, you must first seek professional advice from your medical practitioner. Once you have been given clearance to exercise from your medical practitioner, you must notify our instructors who can then modify any exercises to cater to your injury and suit your fitness level.
Unfortunately FS8 is not a space to bring your child. Your time at FS8 is all about you. We encourage you to enjoy time to focus on your physical and mental wellbeing without any distractions.
If you are pregnant, you must have a clearance to exercise from your medical practitioner and ensure you have notified our front desk and instructors of your pregnancy. Class movements can be modified when required so please speak to your instructor for further guidance.
Exercises can be modified to safely build strength and fitness gradually again.
We’re excited to welcome new and returning postpartum members back into the studio however, we do not recommend returning to exercise before 6 weeks postpartum. All postpartum members will need a medical certificate from their medical practitioner stating they have clearance to begin exercising once again. Our helpful trainers can assist in modifying exercises so you can gradually begin rebuilding your strength and fitness.
Absolutely. FS8 classes are medium to high intensity depending on which class you attend. During every class, you will experience an intense full body workout that targets your general fitness and promotes healthy muscle definition.
Yes! FS8 is a great cross-training tool that complements many other forms of sports training and can be used by professional or recreational athletes for body maintenance.

All FS8 studios offer beautiful, modern and clean showers and change facilities. There are also cubby spaces in which you can leave personal belongings while you workout.
Sweat towels are available for purchase at the front desk if you require one however, shower towels are not provided. If you wish to use your studio’s shower facilities, please bring your own towel with you.
